You’ve had it happen; you’ve been on a road trip and have gotten hungry. You were unfamiliar with that part of the interstate, so you took the nearest exit to try and find something to eat. Stadiametric optical rangefinder (like the ones used in sniper scopes) helps to quickly measure approximate distance to objects with known size. Scale is 300-1500ft (100-500m) for objects with height of 5.6ft (1.7m).

Spyglass™ also allows taking pictures and screenshots that are properly oriented and stored into the photo album.

Tides have a great influence on the lives of boaters, fishermen, surfers, coastal communities, marine life, and vacationers just to name a few. Directly or indirectly, the great flow of our massive ocean bodies of water impact the daily lives of everyone on this planet.

The cyclical movement of the Earth's tides are caused by a combination of the gravitational forces of the sun and moon as well as the shape of the costal region. Unlike simple tide clocks that you can buy in novelty stores, more accurate tide predictions use special data gathered by instruments located at each tide station. The data from these measurements are used to determine the harmonic components which then feed into the mathematical algorithms which predict tides for the future. The end results are tested for accuracy and adjustments are made as necessary.

Tide Graph has US owned Tide Stations Only. An internet connection is required to get the latest tide graph. - See TideGraph.com for a complete list of stations.

Known issues:
1) After you upgrade, you must re-choose your tide station in order to view the tide station location on the external map. This is because the station names have changed to include the state which avoids the problem where two stations have the same name in different states.

2) Viewing tides on dates with different "daylight savings" than the current date result in a display error for the time as shown in the top left. Daylight savings time changes on Nov 1st.

Both of these bugs have been fixed and will be include in the next release (v 2.4). But because of their minor nature, v 2.4 will not be released until we have new features that make it worth downloading.

After shopping, watching a nice game or attending classes suddenly you realize that you do not remember where you parked your car. The answer is Walk Me to My Car app from Mobility.

After parking, just tap the Pin Car button to record your car location in the parking lot. As soon as you are done and want to find your car tap the button Walk Me and voilà! You will be directed to your car. The phone will vibrate and alert you when your car is in sight. The app is designed for open parking lots, not indoor garages.

The app uses the iPhone 3GS compass but also works on the 3G. In older models, without GPS, the accuracy is not sufficient. There is an accuracy indicator: green, yellow and red. If it is red you should not use the app. When you are outside, it takes one or two seconds to achieve the best possible accuracy. GPS accuracy varies with landscape characteristics, geographical location and weather conditions.

After pinning your car you can adjust its location by touching and dragging the green beetle. You might use this resource if the accuracy indicator is yellow and there is a visible difference between the blue pin current location indicator and your car real position as seen on the screen. On your way back to the car the accuracy should improve along the way. So you can start walking to your car even if the accuracy indicator is yellow. Enjoy.

Current available ski areas within MAP CANDY are as follows: Aspen /Snowmass, Alta / Snowbird, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Sunday River, Telluride, Vail, and Whistler.
